This is a Ledaig single malt from Tobermory Distillery, finished in Rioja wine casks. It is the first bottling in the Sinclair Series, which is named after the distillery's founder, John Sinclair. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 46.3% ABV. The finishing period in Rioja casks adds a ripe red fruit sweetness, which sits alongside the peaty character of the spirit. Tasting notes mention red grapes, grassy peat, stewed plum and raspberry, followed by almond and dark chocolate. The finish brings salted caramel and cherry.
