This Ledaig is the first release in the Sinclair Series, a tribute to John Sinclair, who founded the Tobermory distillery in 1798. It is bottled at 46.3% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matured first in ex-bourbon casks, then spent 18 months in Spanish Rioja red wine casks. Alongside Ledaig's distinctive peat it shows plenty of fruit and spice.
On the palate it is creamy, with fruit, a light almond note, malt and a little pepper.
