Ledaig Rioja Cask Sinclair Series (70cl)

Ledaig Rioja Cask is part of the Sinclair Series from Tobermory Distillery on the Isle of Mull, a range dedicated to its founder, John Sinclair. This single malt matured in Spanish Rioja red wine casks. It is bottled without added colour or chill-filtration. The wine casks bring dark berries, cherries and spicy oak, set alongside the maritime smokiness typical of Ledaig. The nose offers smoke, dark berries, cherries, a salty sea note, vanilla and spice. The palate is robust and smoky, with campfire, dark fruit, sweet malt, oak and a touch of chocolate. The finish is long, smoky and fruity, with maritime notes and spicy oak.
