This is a peated single malt from the Ledaig range at Tobermory distillery, on the Isle of Mull, released in the Sinclair Series. It was matured in ex-bourbon casks and finished in Rioja casks. It is bottled at 46.3% in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour and no chill-filtration.
The bottling takes its inspiration from a Spanish galleon that sank in Tobermory harbour more than 400 years ago and was reputedly laden with jewels. The smoky Ledaig is paired with the sweet, fruity character of the Rioja casks, which balance the peat smoke.
