Ledaig Rioja Cask is a single malt from the Sinclair Series, bottled by the distillery at 46.3% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in Rioja casks.
The nose is sweet and perfumed, with raspberry sweets, honey and rosewater, then sweet smoke, light roasted notes, pepper and old leather, with juicy grapes against the dark spices. The palate is creamy and full, with burnt almonds, spiced malt and peppery smoke, followed by blackberries, dark chocolate and raspberries, and cinnamon-touched vanilla cream alongside the typical Ledaig hay note. The finish is medium in length, with plenty of smoke, red fruit and fresh sea spray.
