Ledaig Sinclair Series Rioja Cask Finish (46.3%)

Ledaig Sinclair Series Rioja Cask Finish is a peated single malt at 46.3%, the first release in a series honouring John Sinclair, founder of the distillery. It is made from heavily peated barley, matured in ex-bourbon casks and finished in hand-selected Spanish Rioja casks. The release was inspired by the Spanish galleon that sank off Tobermory harbour more than 400 years ago, thought to have carried jewels. Its colour recalls a rich red Rioja. The flavours are described as smoke, spices, grapes and sweet berries, with a lasting saltiness.
