The first release in Tobermory Distillery's Sinclair Series, a heavily peated Ledaig bottled at 46.3%. The series is inspired by the Spanish galleon that sank off Tobermory harbour more than 400 years ago.
The whisky was matured in ex-bourbon casks and then finished in hand-selected Spanish Rioja casks, a nod to the treasure said to lie off the shoreline.
It is described as having powerful flavours of smoke, spice, grape and sweet berries, with a lingering saltiness.
