Ledaig Sinclair Series Rioja Cask

This is a single malt from Ledaig, the smoky malt made at Tobermory on the Isle of Mull, and part of the Sinclair Series. It has been matured in a Rioja cask. The notes begin with candied fruit, leather and pepper, with a little chocolate and a gentle thread of smoke running throughout. The palate is full-bodied, with almond, malt and pepper, while raspberries, vanilla and cocoa bring fruit and sweetness. The finish stays smoky, with maritime fruit notes.
