Ledaig Triple Wood is a limited-edition peated Island single malt from Tobermory Distillery on the Isle of Mull, bottled at 107.6 proof in a 70cl bottle. Master Blender Julieann Fernandez married three Ledaig single malts, one matured in bourbon, one in port and one in red wine casks, and 7,000 bottles were produced. Each cask type stands for a partner: the distillery, wildlife filmmaker Gordon Buchanan, and the Mull and Iona Community Trust. For every bottle, £2 went towards restoring Ardura Forest on Mull. The nose offers poached pears with cinnamon, butterscotch and cream soda. Apple strudel, black pepper, wood smoke and treacle toffee follow, ending in a smoky finish with cloves and maple syrup.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
