Ledaig Triple Wood is a peated single malt bottled at 53.8% vol. It is matured in three stages: first in ex-bourbon casks, then Spanish sherry casks, and finally port and wine casks.
For every bottle produced, 2 pounds goes to the Mull and Iona Community Trust to support the restoration of the Ardura Forest.
The nose offers light sweetness of caramel and overripe pears, with smoked cinnamon bark and butterscotch. The palate is peaty and layered, with burnt apple strudel and vanilla ice cream, oak, black pepper and toasted caramel toffee. The finish is long and smoky, with maple syrup and sea salt.
