This is a Ledaig single malt made in collaboration with Gordon Buchanan, Island Ambassador for Tobermory Distillery and a wildlife photographer and filmmaker. It is bottled at 53.8% vol. in a 70cl bottle.
It combines three Ledaig single malts, finished in wine, bourbon and port casks, and was blended by Julieann Fernandez. The release marks a partnership between the distillery, Buchanan and the Mull and Iona Community Trust, which works to conserve the Isle of Mull. Part of the proceeds goes to the trust.
The colour is mahogany. The nose has poached pears dusted with cinnamon, butterscotch and cream soda. The palate brings apple strudel, vanilla ice cream, black pepper, oak smoke and toffee syrup. The finish is gently smoky, with cloves and maple syrup.
