Legent is a Kentucky straight bourbon, partly finished in wine and sherry casks and then blended, in a 750ml bottle. It is a collaboration between Fred Noe, seventh-generation Master Distiller at Jim Beam, and Shinji Fukuyo, Chief Blender at Suntory, joining Kentucky bourbon-making with Japanese blending technique.
The bourbon can be taken neat, on the rocks or in a cocktail.
The nose is bourbon caramel and oak with dried fruit from the wine and sherry casks. The palate is layered, with vanilla and spice, fruit and a touch of sherry-cask richness. The finish is smooth and complex.
