Leitz Eins Zwei Zero Sparkling Rosé

This is an alcohol-free sparkling rosé made from Merlot, Portugieser and Pinot Noir. The alcohol is removed gently by vacuum distillation, a method chosen to keep as much of the flavour and character of the grapes as possible. It has about 50 grams of residual sugar per litre. That light sweetness is balanced by a bright acidity, and the wine is fresh, crisp and refreshing. The colour is a pale salmon. The nose is fruity, with rosehip, lemon zest and raspberry. On the palate it is fresh and lightly sweet, with notes of wild strawberry and rosehip. It works well as an aperitif.
