Lemelson Vineyards 2022 Dry Riesling Oregon

A dry Riesling made from grapes from Wascher Vineyard at the foot of the Dundee Hills and Meyer Vineyards. Harvesting usually takes place late, in October, in a cool climate that gives a long ripening period and fresh aromas with delicate nuances. The grapes are pressed without prior destemming, and fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by five months of ageing on the lees in the same type of tank to preserve freshness. The style is delicate, with aromatic notes of lime, jasmine, ginger and passion fruit. On the palate, Riesling's natural fruit sweetness is lifted by good crispness and crisp tannin, with citrus fruit, pineapple and good minerality, perhaps with a hint of petroleum. Serve with shellfish or fish, especially prepared to Asian recipes, and with sushi.
