A Jamaican rum from the 1970s, bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle. Lemon Hart's trading firm was formally established in 1804 in Penzance, Cornwall. The firm's founder was grandson of Abraham Hart, who travelled to the West Indies in the 1750s to set up a rum importing business. Operations moved from Cornwall to West India Dock, London in 1811. By Lemon Hart's death in 1845, the Royal Navy was taking almost 100,000 gallons of his rum annually.
