Lentz Crémant d'Alsace Brut Rosé

A salmon-coloured sparkling rosé from Alsace, made as a Brut Crémant d'Alsace from a Pinot Noir base wine. After the first fermentation the wine rests in bottle on its lees and is disgorged in the same way as Champagne. It spends 14 months this way, two more than the legal minimum of 12, and the time adds a pleasing roundness to the Pinot Noir fruit. The nose offers raspberry and blackcurrant lifted by floral notes. The palate is direct and easy, with fine bubbles that underline the fruit and keep the wine fresh. Serve at 8-10°C as an aperitif or with dark chocolate mousse or strawberry cake.
