Leopold Bros – Bottled in Bond Bourbon 5 Year Old (75cl)

This is a 5 year old bottled in bond bourbon from Leopold Bros, in a 75cl bottle. It is made from grain to glass at the distillery in Denver, Colorado, and aged in the distillery's own government-bonded warehouse. The mash is 65% local corn, 21% house-malted barley and 15% heritage rye. It ferments in open tops with native yeast for 120 hours, then is distilled in a pot still. The flavour is creamy and malty with fruit, and the finish is very soft and smooth.
