Leopold Bros Cask Strength Straight Bourbon is an 8 year old pot-distilled bourbon from the Denver distillery, bottled at 55% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
It went into barrel at 50% ABV. After its years of maturation it was moved into freshly emptied Three Chamber rye whiskey casks for a finish of a few additional months.
It is described as rich, round and mouth-coating, with brown sugar and caramel, plenty of sweet spices and a lift from the strength.
