Leopold Bros – Mission Exclusive Straight Bourbon 10 Year Old Three Chamber Rye Whiskey Barrel Finish (75cl, 54.5%)

This is a 10 year old straight bourbon from Leopold Bros of Colorado, bottled at a cask strength of 54.5% in a 75cl-style 750ml bottle for the Mission Exclusive selection. After its ten years, the bourbon spent a further month in a Three Chamber rye whiskey barrel, a style of barrel not widely used since before Prohibition. The oily residue left in the wood coats the spirit like a maple glaze, giving it a rich, chewy and textural character. It is described as carrying decadence and spice.
