Leopold Bros x Matthiasson Sweet Wermut (70cl)

This is a sweet wermut, an aromatised wine made as a collaboration between Leopold Bros and the Matthiasson winery in Napa. It is sold in a 70cl bottle. The base is Steve Matthiasson's organic, barrel-aged Napa Cabernet Sauvignon, blended with California pear and Colorado peach brandies distilled on a Three Chamber Still. Grande Wormwood is infused along with white pepper, vanilla, green mandarins, Rooibos tea, rose petal, chocolate, ginger root and Belgian candi sugar. It is very fragrant on the nose, with a range of fruit and exotic spice. The texture is full-bodied and slightly tannic, showing the structure of the Cabernet.
