This is a Colorado rye whiskey from Leopold Bros., released to mark the distillery's 25th anniversary. It is bottled at 55% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
The whiskey is aged in a foeder, a large wooden vessel that gives the spirit generous contact with the wood.
The nose offers toasted oak, caramelised sugar and baking spices over an earthy rye character. On the palate come spicy rye heat, dark chocolate and honey sweetness, with dried fruit and leather. The finish is long and warming.
