Lepanto Solera Gran Reserva is a Spanish brandy from González Byass, the house founded in 1835. It is made from selected Palomino grapes and aged for at least 12 years.
The brandy matures in the traditional solera system, moving progressively through wooden vessels from the older casks to the younger ones. Time in American oak barriques gives it a bright golden amber colour.
On the nose there is cooked fruit, vanilla, a little almond and fine woods. The palate is round and velvety, balancing sweetness with acidity, with caramel, sweet spice and a hint of chocolate leading to a long finish.
