Limavady Single Barrel Irish Whiskey (70cl, 46%)

Limavady Single Barrel is a single malt from Northern Ireland, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is triple-distilled from 100% malted Irish barley in copper pot stills, aged in ex-bourbon barrels and finished in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. Each bottle comes from a single barrel and is numbered by cask and bottle. It is non-chill filtered and of natural colour. The brand revives the Limavady Distillery name of 1750 under master distiller Darryl McNally, formerly of Bushmills, whose family descends from the original distillery's operators. The nose has dark honey, dried apricot and milk chocolate with a raisin note. The palate is rich and oily, with malt sweetness, figs, orange peel and baking spice. The finish is long, with sherry-soaked oak and a flicker of pepper.
