Lindores Single Malt MCDXCIV is a Lowland single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 46% ABV in a 700ml bottle, without chill filtration. The name is the Roman numeral for 1494, the year of the earliest written record of Scotch whisky distillation, at the abbey in Fife where the distillery stands.
The whisky is married from three cask types: ex-bourbon, Oloroso sherry and STR red wine barriques.
The nose is vanilla, caramel, orchard fruit and pear drops. The palate has vanilla custard, dried stone fruit and a touch of lemon oil, and the finish is medium in length, with soft vanilla and citrus zest.
