Linkwood 12 Year Old is an official distillery bottling from the 1980s, when the distillery was under Distillers Company Limited ownership, before United Distillers and later Diageo. It is a Speyside single malt in a 75cl bottle at 40% ABV, in a pre-EU format.
Linkwood is known for a delicate, floral and softly fruity spirit.
The nose is creamy and aromatic, with hay, malted barley, citrus peel, vanilla, orchard fruit, carnations and lavender. The palate is sweet and lightly dusty, with honey, liquorice and gingerbread over a soft smoke. The finish is long and elegant, with spicy oak, citrus zest and a hint of white chocolate.
