Linkwood 15 Year Old is a Speyside single malt from Gordon & MacPhail's Distillery Label series, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
Official distillery bottlings of Linkwood are almost non-existent, which makes this independent release a rare chance to find it. The whisky was matured in both ex-bourbon and sherry casks.
Tasting notes give a fruity nose of dry sherry, strawberry, raspberry, citrus, orange, toffee and spice. The palate opens lively with clove, cinnamon and mandarin, turning sweeter and softer. The finish is medium in length and balanced, with fresh herbs, cocoa powder and sherry.
