A single cask Linkwood, 15 years old, selected and bottled for the Scotch Drinkers Only range. It was matured in a refill ex-bourbon barrel and bottled at its natural cask strength of 53.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with an outturn of 248 bottles. It is non-chill filtered and of natural colour.
The refill bourbon barrel lets Linkwood's delicate fruit, floral character and creamy malt come through.
The nose offers ripe pear, green apple, white peach, wildflower honey and vanilla cream. The palate shows orchard fruits, vanilla custard, buttery shortbread and toasted almonds. The finish is long and softly warming, with sweet malt, citrus peel and delicate oak.
