Anima Nera is a liqueur from the Marzadro distillery in Italy, bottled at 21% ABV in a 1000 ml bottle. It has an intense colour and an aroma of alpine herbs and spices, including menthol and liquorice, with a subtle citrus note. On the palate it balances sweetness and bitterness, with alpine herbs, dark chocolate and a hint of coffee. Liquorice remains warm and persistent through a long, refreshing finish. Serve chilled neat as a digestif, or use it as a base for cocktails.
