Lis Neris Picol Sauvignon Blanc 2020 Friuli Isonzo DOC (75cl, 13.5%)

Picol is the Sauvignon Blanc from Lis Neris, made in San Lorenzo Isontino in Friuli Venezia Giulia. This is the 2020 vintage, from 100% Sauvignon Blanc, at 13.5% vol. The grapes are grown with organic fertilisation and no chemical weed control, then picked by hand. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks, followed by 11 months on fine lees in a mix of stainless steel and wood with frequent bâtonnage, and at least 12 months in bottle. It is bright golden yellow, with pronounced floral and fruity aromas. The palate is savoury, balanced and fresh, with a long finish.
