Little Brown Dog Spirits High Rye Spirit 2017 7 Year Old Batch 2 (70cl, 58.8%)

High Rye Spirit Batch 2 is a Scottish spirit drink from Little Brown Dog Spirits, distilled at Invergordon in 2017 and bottled at 58.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is natural in colour and non-chill filtered. The mash bill is wheat, corn, malted barley and rye. The spirit was fermented, column distilled and matured for seven years in virgin American oak barrels. An American bourbon maker followed an American-style process, but enzymes were added during fermentation, so it cannot legally be called Scotch whisky. The nose is kirschwasser, pumpkin spice and pencil case. The palate offers pancakes with maple syrup, candied violet petals and Soreen malt loaf, and the finish brings spearmint, rosemary and nutmeg.
