This is a 30 year old single malt from Littlemill, a Lowland distillery on the banks of the Clyde. It was bottled by Spiritfilled as part of its Mythical Beasts range, in the El Carbunclo release.
The whisky matured in a single ex-bourbon barrel, cask 638, and was bottled at its natural cask strength of 49.8% ABV, without chill filtration and with natural colour. The cask gave 190 bottles of 70cl.
The nose brings dark chocolate, gingerbread and custard. The palate has caramelised peaches, figs, dates and raisins with warming spices, and the finish is long, ending on ripe apricot and toasted marshmallow.
