Living Souls 15 Year Old Solera Blended Scotch Whisky Batch 2 (70cl, 46%)

This is a 15 year old blended Scotch from Living Souls, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is Batch 2, natural colour and non-chill-filtered. The blend marries Glenrothes and Deanston single malts with North British single grain whisky, drawn from a perpetual solera system in which mature stocks are continually topped up with fresh whisky. The grain component includes whisky matured in red wine casks. The nose brings orange marmalade, custard, marzipan and lemon curd. On the palate come berry compote, honeyed malt, soft vanilla and gentle oak, with a silky texture and a sherried richness. The finish is long and quietly warming.
