This is a 10 year old Balblair single malt from the Scottish Highlands, bottled by Living Souls at 46% and finished in Limousin oak XO Cognac octaves. It is natural in colour and non-chill filtered.
Balblair was founded in 1790 and is known for fruit-forward malt with honeyed softness. The octave finish adds dried fruit, soft spice and creamy sweetness to that style.
On the nose there are sultanas, candied oranges, leatherbound books and polished oak. The palate is creamy, with butterscotch and toasted oak, and the buttery finish carries a hint of spice.
