This is a 17 year old single grain Scotch from North British Distillery near Edinburgh, bottled by Living Souls at 48% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is a small batch release, bottled in 2026. The whisky matured in red wine hogsheads, which give a ruby-tinged amber colour with copper highlights. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The nose is caramel biscuits, stewed fruit and crumbly tablet. The palate brings sticky toffee pudding sweetness, dried fruits, Lotus Biscoff and a little cinnamon, and the finish is a gentle orchard-fruit sweetness that fades slowly.
