Local Heros Sherry Bomb is a blended malt whisky bottled at 46% vol. It is one of three blended malts in the Local Heros collection, from the team behind Coleburn Distillery, and was released to celebrate the whisky community.
It is aged in ex-Oloroso and refill casks, giving a bold, dense, jammy and warmly spiced style.
The nose offers honey-roasted cashew, cinnamon, milk chocolate-coated strawberry, granola and marmalade on toast. On the palate, hazelnut and walnut come with dried figs, apricots and raisins, plus baking spices in a creamy, vanilla-like texture. The finish is medium, with spiced chocolate and toasted oak.
