Loch Lomond – 12 Year Old Inchmoan (70cl, 46%)

Loch Lomond 12 year old Inchmoan is a peated single malt from the Islands Collection, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle and non-chill-filtered. The barley is dried over peat smoke, and the whisky is aged in American oak and recharred barrels. It comes from Loch Lomond Distillery in Alexandria, which runs stills with rectifiers alongside continuous stills. The nose is strong in smoke and peat, with hints of vanilla and caramel. The palate is rich and full-bodied, with smoke, peat, roasted nuts, dark chocolate, coffee and spice. The finish is long and warming, with lingering smokiness.
