Loch Lomond 12 Year Old is a single malt made with both straight-neck stills and traditional swan-neck stills, in the shadow of Ben Lomond. It is aged in three kinds of American oak cask: bourbon, refill and re-charred. Michael Henry, the master blender, put the bottling together. It is bottled at 46% and non-chill filtered.
The nose is crisp green apple, ripe pear and lemon over golden cereal. The palate brings orchard fruit, lemon meringue, vanilla and light biscuit sweetness. The finish is medium, with gentle wood smoke and a lingering tang.
