A 12 year old single malt from Loch Lomond, in a 70cl bottle at 46%. The label names it The Open Official Spirit. The spirit was distilled in two different pot stills and matured in American oak casks. The nose is soft, with ripe pear, apricot, lemon, barley and wood shavings. The palate opens sweet, with fruit, tea, herbs and gentle acidity. The finish is medium in length, with a hint of soft sweets.
