This Loch Lomond Vintage 2000 is a Highland single malt distilled in 2000 and aged for 24 years. It was released in the Open Course Collection to mark the 152nd Open Championship at Royal Troon, in an edition of roughly 4,500 bottles.
The whisky was matured in American oak and finished in Manzanilla sherry butts from Jerez. It is bottled at 47.1% ABV, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The nose brings honey, vanilla fudge, candied citrus peel, pineapple and a soft coastal note. On the palate come salted caramel, baked apple, lime zest, nutmeg and cinnamon.
