Loch Lomond Original is a single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 40%. It combines spirit from Straight Neck stills with spirit from more traditional Swan Neck stills, and is aged in three types of American oak cask: bourbon, refill and re-charred. It was put together by master blender Michael Henry.
The nose is malty, with golden biscuit and a light fruitiness. The palate opens with sweet honey, then peach, pear, a delicate orange note and creamy vanilla. The medium finish carries a hint of soft smoke.
