Loch Lomond Original is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky from Loch Lomond Distillery in Alexandria, bottled at 40% in a 750ml bottle. It is made entirely from malted barley.
The distillery runs both traditional swan-neck pot stills and its own straight-neck Lomond stills, and this whisky marries spirit from the two. It is matured in three types of American oak cask: ex-bourbon, refill and re-charred.
The nose is light and floral, with honey, lavender, lemon peel, green banana and cereal. The palate brings clean malt, green apple, pear and vanilla with a creamy texture. The finish is medium, with a hint of smoke, honey and soft oak.
