Loch Lomond Peated Single Grain is a Scotch whisky made entirely from heavily peated malted barley at Loch Lomond Distillery. It is matured in a combination of used and brand new bourbon casks, which give a soft, fruity character with creamy vanilla and hints of smoke.
It has won gold at the WSC in 2023 and at the IWSC in 2021, and silver at the IWSC in 2022.
The nose offers clove, vanilla and blackcurrant. On the palate, sweet and tart peat sits alongside green apple, lime and aniseed, leading to a crisp, dry finish with a faint trace of peat smoke.
