A peated 31-year-old single malt from Loch Lomond, in a 70cl bottle at 44.1%. It is the third edition of the Waypoint Series, inspired by the walking route along the north-east bank of Loch Lomond from Inversnaid to Inverarnan. Distilled in Straight Neck stills, it matured in three types of ex-Bourbon American oak casks, then spent 12 months in Tawny Port pipes. It is non-chill filtered, of natural colour, and comes in a handmade wooden etched package with artwork by illustrator Brett Breckon. Blackberries and honey lead the nose. The palate offers dark chocolate, raspberries and gentle cedar over a peated base, and the long finish carries soft wood smoke and dark fruit.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
