Lochlea Fallow Edition (First Crop) Single Malt Scotch Whisky (46%)

Lochlea Fallow Edition, subtitled First Crop, is a single malt Scotch bottled at 46% ABV. It is the third in an annual series of limited seasonal bottlings, and it reflects autumn on the farm, when the fields are left fallow to rest after harvest. It is the first Lochlea release matured solely in first-fill ex-Oloroso sherry butts. The notes describe a nose of ripe red fruits and freshly baked banana loaf, then dried fruit, leathery notes and malt biscuits on the palate. The finish is of medium length, with hints of aniseed and floral rose petals.
