Lochlea Fallow Edition is a single malt made from barley grown entirely on Lochlea's own fields, so the distillery has followed the whisky from grain to bottle. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle and is not chill-filtered.
Sherry character is prominent. The nose has juicy plums, poached apple and warm, freshly baked pancakes. The palate brings dried figs and prunes, spiced fruit tart, damp earth and a hint of aniseed. The finish is dark syrup, honey and plenty of warm winter spices.
