Lochlea Harvest Edition 2022 is the second release in the distillery's annual series of seasonal bottlings, made to evoke late summer. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The red label reflects the colour of the Ayrshire soil once the barley has been harvested.
The whisky was matured in three cask types: ex-port, oloroso sherry and first fill bourbon.
The nose offers stewed apples, pear and oat biscuits. The palate is sweet with strawberry, violet and toasted marshmallow, and the finish carries Lochlea's own barley and freshly cut grass.
