Lochlea – Harvest Edition Third Crop Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl)

Lochlea Harvest Edition (Third Crop) is a single malt from a working farm distillery, part of a run of seasonal small batch releases that follow what is happening on the farm at that time of year. It was double matured in refill Bourbon barrels and Port hogsheads, alongside an Oloroso sherry butt. The result is a sweet, summery profile with rich dessert notes at the front and savoury black pepper at the close. On the nose there are bright red grapes, fresh strawberry jam and clotted cream. The palate brings baked apple pie and white chocolate, and the finish is balanced, with cracked black pepper.
