Lochlea – Our Barley Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl)

Lochlea Our Barley is a single malt Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle. It is the distillery's core expression, sitting alongside its seasonal limited editions. The recipe combines three kinds of cask. Oloroso sherry butts from Jerez bring fruit bon bons, marmalade and macadamia nuts. Shaved, toasted and re-charred barriques from Spain add peppery spice and rye bread notes. First-fill bourbon barrels from Loretto, Kentucky contribute golden syrup and cream soda. The nose is pear syrup, fruit bon bons, warm cut grass and marmalade. The palate brings golden syrup, pepper, rye bread, macadamia nuts and cream soda, and the finish is long, with orange beeswax.
