Lochlea – Our Barley Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 46%)

Lochlea Our Barley is the permanent core release from Lochlea, an independent, family-run farm distillery in the Scottish Lowlands. It is a single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. Lochlea grows all its own barley and distils and matures on site. This whisky is aged in a combination of first fill bourbon barrels, Oloroso sherry butts and STR barriques, which are wine casks that have been shaved, toasted and recharred. It is neither coloured nor chill-filtered. It is typically described as pear syrup and fruit sweets on the nose, then fresh fruit and cereal on the palate, leading to macadamia nuts and orange beeswax.
