Our Barley is Lochlea's third single malt release and its first core range bottling. Lochlea is a Lowland distillery that grows its own barley and distils and matures its whisky on site. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is drawn equally from three cask types: first fill bourbon, first fill Oloroso sherry and STR casks.
The nose is fresh malt like digestive biscuits, with pears and heather honey. The palate brings pear, vanilla, shortbread, oak, malt and white pepper.
